A Brief Introduction to Rayleigh Lawn Tennis Club

Rayleigh Lawn Tennis Club was formed in 1919 by Cyril and Irene Adams.  The original site was "Lavers"76 Hockley Road. The Tennis Club remained at that site until 1965 when the Club switched location to Watchfield Lane, the club's current site. 

The Rayleigh Tennis Club has 5 all weather tennis courts, 2 of which are floodlit. Rayleigh Lawn also has a club pavillion and a car park. 

 Rayleigh Lawn Tennis Club is the only tennis club in Rayleigh and the club competes in the Essex, Southend & District and Leigh & Westcliff Tennis Leagues.

The Rayleigh Tennis Club provides tennis coaching for juniors and adults. Coaching takes place from Monday through to Saturday. The tennis club caters for all ages from four years old.
